Celebrating 25 Years of Craftsmanship

A 25 Year Journey of Passion and Crafstmanship

This year, I am proudly celebrating 25 years of craftsmanship in jewellery. It’s a milestone that gives me the chance to reflect on my journey. The challenges, and the countless moments of joy that shape my career.

I begin my journey in London, at the iconic Oxo Tower. There, I hone my skills and discover my passion for creating jewellery that tells a story. These early days are filled with learning, experimentation, and a growing love for the craft. It is here that I start building my customer base.

In 2009, I relocate back to my hometown of Brussels. This move marks a new chapter in my career. Allowing me to deepen my connections with clients and refine my craft in the heart of Europe.

Creating Jewellery for Life’s Most Meaningful Moments

Probably the greatest honour of my career is bespoke jewellery. I receive a wide range of requests, each rooted in meaningful moments. Engagements, weddings, anniversaries, and commemorations. Each piece I create tells a unique story. The privilege of being trusted to capture these stories in my designs is something I hold dear. Over the past 25 years, clients approach me at pivotal moments in their lives. Through conversation, learning about their stories and why they have chosen me. These moments are profoundly moving. For a brief time, I am part of their journey. Translating a piece of their story into jewellery. Whether it’s an engagement ring symbolising a lifetime commitment or a mourning jewel that honours a memory. I strive to create designs that encapsulate the heart of their story. These commissions inspire me and remind me of the power of human connection in jewellery.

Remodelling Customer's Jewellery

jewellery remodelling

Transforming old gold jewellery into something new is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Jewellers have remodelled jewellery for centuries, honouring tradition and sustainability. Many clients bring me pieces that hold deep sentimental value but no longer suit their style. Through the remodelling process, I breathe new life into these cherished items while preserving their emotional significance.

Whether it’s an heirloom necklace or a sentimental ring, I work closely with each client to design a piece that reflects their unique taste and story. This process isn’t just about creating a new piece of jewellery—it’s about honouring memories and personal connections. By repurposing gold and gemstones, I also ensure a sustainable approach to jewellery-making. Every transformation celebrates past, present, and future, resulting in a design that beautifully carries the client’s history forward.

Sustainability and Ethics at the Heart of My Work

Craftsmanship drives everything I do, but values fuel its purpose. I am deeply committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing, which are now central to my jewellery practice.

Over the years, I had the privilege of visiting Fairmined gold mines in Peru and Colombia. These trips are transformative. I see firsthand the positive impact of responsible gold mining on local communities and the environment. Meeting the miners and witnessing their commitment to sustainable practices strengthens my resolve to use Fairmined-certified gold.

Traveling to Liberia with Diamonds for Peace, last June, and visiting the diamond mining communities, gaining valuable insights into artisanal diamond mining. This experience reinforces the importance of fair practices and traceability in the diamond supply chain. These connections to people, places, and values continue to make my jewellery truly meaningful.

Celebrating 25 Years of Craftsmanship and Client Connections

Reflecting on 25 years of creating jewellery, I am deeply grateful for the journey and the incredible clients I’ve had the privilege to work with. Craftsmanship has always been at the heart of my work, blending traditional techniques with vision to create bespoke pieces. The skills I’ve honed over the years have allowed me to create jewellery that reflects both personal stories and timeless elegance. Thankful for the trust clients place in me to transform their meaningful moments into wearable art. Each commission reflects life’s milestones. Taking great pride in translating these stories, that hold deep significance. As I celebrate this milestone, I remain committed to maintaining the tradition of craftsmanship that has shaped my career while striving for responsible resourcing. The past 25 years have been filled with growth, challenges, and profound connections, and I look forward to the next chapter with gratitude and excitement.

International Recognition

Over the years, my work has been recognised not only in the media but also in international exhibitions. I’ve had the honour of showcasing my jewellery in prestigious cities like London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Milan, Venice, and New York. These exhibitions have allowed my pieces to reach a wider audience and brought global attention to the craftsmanship and values behind my designs. The recognition through both media coverage and exhibitions underscores the quality, precision, and ethical approach I bring to every piece.

Looking Ahead

As I look to the future, I’m excited about the jewellery I’ll continue to create with you and the changes I hope to see in the industry. One key goal is to see more support for artisanal and small-scale miners worldwide. These miners, the backbone of local communities, deserve fair wages, safe working conditions, and the chance to thrive sustainably.

I also believe it’s vital to have greater transparency in the jewellery supply chain, ensuring each piece is traced from its origin. Reducing—and ultimately eliminating—the use of toxic chemicals in mining is essential to protect both the environment and workers.

Fortunately, projects like Fairmined, Peace Gold, Moyo Gems, and Ocean Diamonds show that responsible mining practices are possible. With the continued support of the jewellery industry, I believe ethical, sustainable jewellery can become the norm, creating a more beautiful and responsible future for all.
